However, France claims that if they were the first to own the poodle, it's just that the AKC gave honor to the German state because they said that this poodle was used as a water retrieval dog.

In addition, there are several others who also claim that this poodle came from Denmark which is an Ancient Piedmont breed. And behind all the controversy, it is certain that this poodle is a descendant of the 'French water dog', 'Barbet', and possibly the 'Hungarian water hound'.

Unfortunately, these three dog breeds are now extinct. The name of this poodle is most likely taken from the German word for 'poodle' which means 'someone who plays in the water'.

This Poodle Clip was designed by a hunter to help the poodle swim more efficiently later. They will leave hair on the joints of the legs whose function is to protect the poodle from stale and very cold reeds.

The hunters in France and Germany use poodles as gun dogs and retriever for waterfowl and to sniff out the fungus that is under the wood. It has the same role, except that it is used to help differentiate yourself from the Siberian Huskies.

In addition, this poodle itself also has a high level of intelligence, so it is not uncommon for owners to train their pets to do various things. Even in the past the French used poodles as circus animals.

Because this animal is very popular in the country, the name French Poodle emerged. However, many French people also refer to this type of dog as 'Caniche' which means duck dog / duck dog.

For this breed of toy and miniature poodles, they were bred from a larger species of poodle, which is now widely known as the standard poodle.

And in the 18th century, this smaller poodle became the pet of the royal people because of its cute and adorable shape, not as a guard dog.
